Байгалийн бүсүүд дэх жижиг нутаг дэвсгэр бүхий сумдын газар ашиглалт

The Orkhon soum has an area of 47787 ha, the Bayantal soum covers 91606 ha and the Zamiin-uud soum 48680 ha. These soums have comparatively small areas compared to others throughout Mongolia. These three soums support many different land uses due to the influences of varying socio-economic conditions and natural environments. For example: the Orkhon soum area contains primarily agricultural land use with crops such as potatoes and other vegetables being produced. This area has long been used for agricultural purposes and the tradition continues. The Bayantal soum on the other hand is used mainly for livestock grazing. The Zamiin-Uud soum is again different, as it is more urbanized with many cities, villages and other settlements. This soum lies on the border with China and its economy has benefited from the trade passing through this area.
